Mr. Nelvin Wallace, 97, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away at Crenshaw Community Hospital on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. A graveside service for Mr. Wallace will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 5th, in Providence Cemetery with his son Walter delivering the eulogy and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Wallace spent most of his life as a logger in the timber industry. It was a good fit for him considering how much he enjoyed being outside. In his free time, he continued to indulge in outdoor activities, and there was nothing he loved more than fishing and tending to his spectacular garden. He was also known to freely share his expertise concerning his favorite activities with many others. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He cherished the time he spent with his family and leaves behind an enormous legacy of love through his loved ones.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Warrick Wallace; parents, Freeman R. & Mary Capps Wallace; and several brothers & sisters. He is survived by his five children, Walter (Bonnie) Wallace, Gerald (Kathi) Wallace, Rex (Debra) Wallace, Margaret (Jessie) Petty, and Tooney (Matthew) Morgan; eleven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Wallace, Eric Morgan, Adam Wallace, Lance Morgan, Parker Wallace, Landon Morgan, Caleb Petty, Anthony Morgan, & Steve Odom.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity.
