Nicki McFerrin sworn in as new district judge

New District Judge Nicki McFerrin (far left) was sworn in by Judge Terri Bozeman-Lovell (far right), presiding Circuit Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit. The outdoor afternoon ceremony was held on Friday, January 15, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and attended by county and court officials, members of law enforcement, family, and friends. Pictured with Judge McFerrin are her daughter Mary Hannah Miller and her husband the Honorable Edward McFerrin, himself a former circuit judge. Outgoing District Judge Mack Russell was awarded a retirement plaque and lauded by Dr. Rich Hobson, Director of Alabama Administrative Office of Courts, for 18 years of faithful service.
