The Greenville “Y” invites you to enjoy a “staycation” this week in the Camellia City. This Thursday through Saturday, May 26, 27 and 28, the YMCA is sponsoring a carnival “to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer,” says Amanda Phillips, YMCA director.
“We will have lots of rides, including kiddie rides, games and special carnival treats, like funnel cake and corn dogs.”
The hours for the carnival are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission is $2 per person, with individual tickets available for attractions, along with bracelets. All proceeds will go to the Partners in Youth Campaign, which funds “Y” scholarships for disadvantaged members of the community to allow them membership.
“Instead of going out of town this Memorial Day weekend, stay here, enjoy all the fun of the carnival and go swimming in our wonderful pool,” Phillips said.
