The local OCAP chapter will be taking appointments for the LIHEAP CARES (COVID-19) funding beginning on Jan. 19, 2021.

The funds for the first four weeks will be for those who have never received energy assistance from our agency and the household must have been impacted by COVID-19 before you can receive services.

After this time, the program will open to anyone whose household has been impacted by COVID-19.

To qualify, residents must be below certain household income, which are:

• One person, $1,595 a month;

• Two people, $2,155 a month;

• Three people, $2,715 a month;

• Four people, $3,275 a month;

Add $560 per month for each additional household member.

No walk-ins will be taken.
