Luverne school’s faculty and administrators are preparing to welcome back Tiger students.
The schools are holding open houses this week and excited to see the smiling face of their students once again.
Fourth grade teacher Andrea Smith is ready to welcome her students back to class after a long break.
“We’ve had a long break so I’m excited about seeing the kids, but a little nervous,” Smith said. “I’m hoping that everything works out for the best.”
Things are different this year with virtual learning, but Smith welcomes the new challenge and is prepared to give her students the assistance they’ll need.
“Some kids chose virtual and you have some that will be in class,” Smith said. “I’m a little nervous because we’ll be using Schoology, which is something new that we’re trying to get used to. It’s a learning process so I pray that parents bear with us.”
Luverne schools will start virtually and in-person on Aug. 24.
