Fall enrollment at LBW Community College shows a headcount of 1,541 students with more than 15,000 credit hours. This is a slight decrease from 2019 enrollment numbers at 1,712 students with over 16,000 credit hours.
“Our recruiting and outreach efforts have helped us to minimize the decline in registration,” said Director of Marketing Maggie Jones.
LBWCC is offering additional opportunities for students to register. More online classes have been added and capacity has increased in various courses. The deadline for tuition payment has also been extended.
“LBWCC continues to engage our community and introduce new programs – such as our recent apprenticeship with Wayne Farms – to encourage students to consider us for their next, best step,” she said. “We will continue to register students through the drop/add period and expect to see an increase in enrollment. Although we have declined in headcount, our decrease is less than the state average. Those numbers show a 21% decrease system-wide, while we’re only down 10%.”
