Youth baseball action heats up

It was a busy week on area baseball and softball diamonds last week as action for the local Dixie Youth teams continued.
In Ozone action on April 23 at Beeland Park the Red Sox topped the Angels 3-1.
For the Red Sox, Sandrell Williams had a triple and scored a run, Jack Holley had a double and scored a run and John Sessions also scored a run. Jaiden Dunklin scored the Angels’ run in the game.
Also on April 23, the Red Sox picked up a 4-3 win over the Rangers. Sandrell willians had a double and scored, James Shell, John Session and Joey Lawley all had singles and scored. Paxton Moorer had two singles and scored and Dain Winters scored a run.
In Mite action at Beeland Park on April 22, the Astros beat the Red Sox 7-3. For the Astros, Isiaih Elliot had a single and scored, Braden Osborn had a single and scored a run, Dalton Newton had two singles and scored twice, Jesse McNeil had a single and scored a run, Clayton Conway had a single and scored and Jacory Stallworth had a single ad scored a run. On the Red Sox side, Jordan Davidson, Jalen Elliott and Collin Turner each had singles and scored.
Also on April 22 in Mite action at Beeland Park, the Angels topped the Dodgers 15-2.
On the night for the Angels, Tracen Finklea had a triple and scored three runs, Pierson Taylor had a single and a double and scored twice, Rayan De Le Ree had a single, double and a triple and scored three times, Kullen Huggins scored three times and had a single and a triple, Cooper De Le Ree had two doubles and a single and scored three runs and Keller Huggins had a single and scored a run. For the Dodgers, Jaxon Albert and Jesse Albritton each singled and scored.
April 22 also featured Dixie Minor action on Field 3 as the Cubs topped the Orioles 8-7 in a close battle.
For the Cubs, Tyler Hollingshead scored two runs on one hit, Eli McBride scored a run, Isaac Ingram scored a run, Harrison Swift had a hit and scored two runs, Nate Simmons had a hit and scored a run and Tyrese Jackson scored a run. Hays Ellis led the way for the Orioles with two hits including a home run. Ellis scored three runs. Thad Bozeman scored a run and had a hit, Brix Ledbetter had a hit and scored two runs and Von Harris had a hit and scored a run.
Also in Dixie Minors action on April 22 at Field 3, the Cardinals beat the Mariners 7-3.
Brayden Young hit a home run for the Cardinals; Braxton Hartley had a hit and scored twice, Michael Holleyfield had a hit and scored, Alex Johnson scored two runs and had a hit, Brantley Newton and Braxton Schofield each scored a run.
For the Mariners, Jeremyiah Coleman led the way with a home run; Jazavion Shepard had a hit and scored a run as did Griffin Gaston.
