Son of the late William Ferrell and Bettie Steiner Broach, Bill Broach was born in Greenville and died in Pensacola, Fla. from complications of Lymphoma.

Mr. Broach graduated from Marion Military Institute, served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and received a BBA degree from LSU. He remained in the Navy Reserve while working in corporate sales, but returned to active duty to pursue his love of flying, first as engineer on the P3 Orion and later moving into the copilot seat.  Retiring after 20 years service, he piloted commercial cargo jets around the world until failing eyesight grounded him.

In retirement, Mr. Broach answered the call to ministry, serving first as deacon of All Saints Anglican Church in Pensacola and, after his ordination, as Rector of All Saints.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Therese Marceau Broach of Lillian; son, William Ferrell Broach III of Lillian; daughter, Alison Christin Broach of Charlottesville, N.C.; grandson, Jacob Alexander Broach of Charlottesville, N.C.; sister, Bettie Broach Hager and brother-in-law, Dale Hager of Dallas, Texas and his faithful German Shepherd, Jake.

Members of All Saints Anglican Church, friends and business associates will fondly remember Bill.  The Marine Corps League, Pensacola, and the Pensacola Military Officers Association of America, for which he faithfully served as Chaplin, will miss him.

Following services in Pensacola, Bill was laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery on May 11 with full military honors.
