The Cubs and Diamondbacks cruised to big wins Monday night in Dixie Mite action at Beeland Park.
Cameron Croley ripped a double and a single to lead the Cubbies at the plate, while Tyler Hollingshead and Jace Butts both added two singles as they defeated the Angels 18-2. Butts scored three runs, while Croley and Hollingshead crossed home plate once apiece.
SaDarion Feagin cleared the bases with a three-run homer.
For the Angels, Dominick Little and Collin Turner (1 run) led the way with one single each.
The Diamondbacks downed the Astros 11-5 behind Jaylen Elliott’s offensive performance. The young speedster legged out a triple, slapped a single and scored three runs in the victory.
Tyrese Jackson smacked a two-run home run for the Astros, while Clay Powell (1 run) and Jayden Borden reached base on one single apiece.
Preston Williams finished 3-for-3 at the plate with a homer, double and single and scored once to lead the Astros. Harrison Scott chipped in with a two-run homer.
Americans 13, 6
Nationals 7, 0
In a Monday night Ozone doubleheader at Beeland Park, the Americans once again swept with a 13-7 victory and a 6-0 shutout.
In Game 1, Christian Jones, Brock Wilson and Joey Lawley led the charge for the Americans with one double and one run scored apiece. Thomas Williamson (1 run) and Jon Nolan Lawrence (1 run) added singles.
Bobby Cook (1 run) and Landon McLain (1 run) led the Nationals with one double each. Chandler Little, Cade McNaughton and Matthew Gregory each scored once after reaching base on walks.
No hits were recorded for the Americans in the 6-0 shutout victory in the nightcap.
Sandrell Williams walked twice and scored twice for the Americans, while Michael Chance walked and scored and Foster Coker was hit by a pitch and scored.
Chandler Little had the Nationals lone hit – a single.
Angels 6
Diamondbacks 4
Javazion Shepherd (2 runs) and Dominick Little (1 run) both recorded two hits to lead the Angles over the Diamondbacks 6-4 on April 28.
Jaylen Elliot, Khamajy Zigler, James Reynolds and Jakuri Albritton led the Diamondback Mites with one hit and one run apiece.

The Mite League Indians doubled up the Diamondbacks on April 28 to claim an 8-4 victory.
River Ellis and Rylan Beck had three hits and scored two runs apiece to lead the Tribe. Dalton Newton also had three hits and scored once.
Jaylen Elliott (2 runs), Khamajy Zigler (1 run) and James Reynolds (1 run) led the D’backs with two hits apiece.
Indians 16
Astros 6
The Indians put up a 10 spot on the Astros in Mite League play on April 28 to claim a win, 16-6.
Rylan Beck, Dalton Newton, Whitt Holley and Thad Bowman combined for 12 hits – three apiece – to lead the way for the Indians. Beck and Newton each scored three runs.
Preston Williams led the Astros with three hits and one run. Harrison Scott chipped in with two hits and two runs.

Astros 0
Ten Cubs combined for 19 hits and 15 runs to blank the Astros in Mite League action on April 28.
Jaxon Albert led the charge for the Cubbies with three hits and one run. Jason McConico, Gabe Crysell, Jon Edward Rhodes, Ethan Bowen, Landon Frazier, Cameron Croley and Tyler Hollingshead finished the game with two hits apiece.
Braves 8
Cardinals 3
Benton Taylor and Jackson Holley led the Minor League Braves at the plate with two hits apiece and each scored twice on April 27 as the Tribe defeated the Cardinals, 8-3.
Taylor slapped two home runs and drove in two runs, while Holley chipped in with two singles.
Braxton Hartley led the Cards with one hit and one run scored.
Rays 5
Rangers 1
Tripp Albert’s two hits and two runs proved enough as he led the Rays to a 5-1 win over the Rangers in Minor League play on April 27.
Asher Young also finished the game with two hits. He scored one run, as did, Tyler Hollyfield (1 hit), Garrett Mason (1 hit) and Eli McBride.
Hayes Ellis scored the Rangers’ lone run.

Braves 4
In Minor League action on April 24, the Rangers slipped past the Braves, 6-4.
Hayes Ellis and Errion Roper led the Rangers with one hit and one run each. Isaac Ingram, Jayden Dunklin, Brayden Howell and KyDavion Zigler scored one run apiece.
Jack Holley led the Braves with a pair of hits and scored twice.
Cardinals 6
Rays 4
Braxton Hartley finished the night with two hits and scored twice, while Vincent Savage also had a pair of hits and scored once to lead the Minor League Cardinals to a two-run victory over the Ray, 6-4, on April 24.
Griffin Gaston chipped in with one hit and scored twice for the Cards.
John Rogers led the Rays with one hit and crossed plate once.
