Darlings Taylor Hunnicutt and Summer Sheffield put on a hitting clinic Monday evening at the Greenville Sportsplex, leading the Ponytail Express to a 9-4 victory over Adrenaline with perfect 3-for-3 performances at the plate.
Natalie Skipper legged out an inside-the-park home run on her way to a two-hit performance. Raylee Stinson and Ansley Picket joined Skipper with two hits apiece. Hunnicutt and Sheffield scored twice each, while Skipper, Stinson and Picket scored one run apiece.
Riley Burkett and Anyah Cobb both finished the game with one hit and run.
Alice Wilson paced Adrenaline with two hits and one run. Ella Cook, Jayla Anderson and Beth Winters chipped in with one hit and one run apiece.
Drama Queens 10
Adrenaline 9
Lauren Pierce’s 3-for-3 performance at the plate and three runs scored proved to be enough for the Drama Queens to edge Adrenaline, 10-9, Monday night in Darlings League action.
Emilee Straughn, Alie Mount, Blair Bozeman and Nariyah Johnson added two hits apiece for the Drama Queens. Straughn scored two runs in the winning effort, while Mount, Bozeman and Johnson each scored once.
Ella Ealum led Adrenaline with three hits and crossed home three times. Amelia Hall (2 runs), Tucker Hamilton (2 runs) and Jayla Anderson (1 run) finished with two hits apiece.
Intensity 8
Crushers 7
Intensity squeaked past the Crushers Monday night as the Ponytails crew picked up an 8-7 victory.
Annah Parker Little led Intensity with one hit and scored one run.
For the Crushers, Jaliah McMeans, Allie Butts and Martasia Savage finished the game with one hit and one run apiece to lead their team.
Chaos 18
Black Ice 2
Chaos lived up to its name last Friday at the Greenville Sportsplex as the Angel League sluggers cruised to an 18-2 victory over Black Ice.
Emily Cauthen, Karley Bordeaux, Tajunna Griffin and Makensie Carter combined for 12 hits and nine runs to lead Chaos at the dish. Each girl finished with three hits, while Cauthen scored three runs and Bordeaux, Griffin and Carter scored twice each.
Andrea Lewis and Hayden Bozeman led Black Ice with one hit and one run apiece.
