On Tuesday, March 13, the Fort Dale Eagles’ tennis teams traveled to Monroeville to take on Monroe Academy, and once again the ladies came away with the wins while the guys suffered losses.

The ladies took 13 of 13 matches in singles and 6 of 6 doubles.

Victoria Son, Jamie Pickens, Megan Wright, Claire Hutson, Maire Scott, Hayden Fails, Kriston Sessions, Amelia Gregory , Ann Kathryn Smith, Anna Son, Rosie Rogers, Caroline Hartley and Mary Virginia Meadows were winners in singles.

In doubles, Victoria Son and Jamie Pickens, Megan Wright and Maire Scott, Kriston Sessions and Claire Hutson, Caroline Hartley and Amelia Gregory , Ann Kathryn Smith and Anna Son, Mary Virginia Meadows and Rosie Rogers took their matches.

On Thursday, March 15, the Eagles went on the road again to play Springwood Academy and came away once again with wins for the ladies and two matches for the guys.

In singles play, Grant McGriff won 8-4 and John Milan Gaston won 8-0.

The ladies wins included Jamie Pickens, 8-2; Megan Wright, 8-1; Claire Hutson, 8-2; Maire Scott, 8-2.

Megan Wright and Maire Scott won in doubles 8-5.
