The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce recently printed a new map for the city of Greenville and Butler County.
Partnering with Village Profile, this map includes a Butler County overview, as well as a close look at the cities of Greenville and Georgiana.
It also includes a historic walking tour of downtown Greenville. “We were able to add the new interstate changes and a few county roads that were now open. The historic feature is new too,” said Francine Wasden, the executive director of the chamber of commerce.
Emphasizing the importance of the map she said, “We’ve already had a few people come asking for a map. A few days ago, I had a new guy come with FedEx. He told me, ‘I am new on this route, I need a map.’ I explained to him he was in luck.”
Along with the maps, there are thirty local businesses that sponsored the publication.
Wasden explained, “I want to thank all of our businesses that sponsored the map.” Other contributors were those that proofed the map, tirelessly checking for errors. “We proofed it several times. Eddie Anderson, Richard Branum, and the city clerk office in Georgiana helped proof the map. I am very grateful to them as well,” added Wasden.
A total of 7,500 maps were printed and can be found at the Chamber of Commerce or the local police and fire departments.
