The Greenville Community Theatre is looking for local talent to take the stage for their upcoming summer dinner theater production. Auditions for the clever comedy “Penny For Your Thoughts” by Scott Haan are slated for 6 p.m., Monday, April 17 in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
“We are very excited to be bringing another dinner theater to Greenville. We have had tremendous success with the others we have done,” says Johnna Pitts, GCT president.
According to Pitts, not only are those who want the chance to shine onstage welcome at the auditions, individuals willing to assist back stage and/or share their carpentry skills are also being sought to attend.
“We really want to encourage anyone who would like to participate to join us on April 17, even if you don’t want to audition for a part. We will need behind-the-scenes positions filled as well, such as stage managers, helpers and construction assistants. There’s room for everyone who would like to be involved,” Pitts stresses. The cast auditions are limited to performers age 16 and up.
The GCT summer dinner theater is set for July 15 at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Greenville.
“We certainly want to invite everyone to plan to attend. Ticket availability, prices and time will be announced soon,” says Pitts.
