The Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Camellia City Fest is once again set to usher in the coming spring for the city this Saturday.

A portion of Commerce Street will transform into a bustling hub of activity as live music, food and various vendors populate the downtown area, with tables and chairs decorating the park for visitors to enjoy the entertainment and festivities.

Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Francine Wasden said that she aims to make Camellia City Fest a snapshot of what Greenville has to offer, both to residents and passersby alike.

“Camellia City Fest is such a wonderful, family-friendly event that offers something for everyone,” Wasden said.

“The chamber is thankful to the city, the mayor, the police department and the entire chamber board for helping us put together such a wonderful downtown event for residents and visitors to enjoy.

“It’s a great opportunity to visit Greenville and visit our downtown merchants, as well.”

This year’s fest will differ from its two predecessors in some key ways. 

For starters, the street will be blocked off beginning at the post office down to First Presbyterian Church, and alongside Confederate Park.

The event, expected to host 50 vendors from around the state—and including neighboring states such as Florida and Georgia—will display arts and crafts, greenery, custom-made knives and furniture, jewelry, pottery, apparel and more.

Confederate Park will feature a variety of concessions, such as barbecue sandwiches, ribs, chicken, funnel cakes, cupcakes and much more.

In true Camellia City Fest tradition, the car show will return, beginning in front of the post office at 9 a.m. 

Event T-shirts will be available to purchase while supplies last.  All proceeds from the T-shirt sales go toward camellia girls and chamber pages.

The fest aims to be an occasion younger audiences can enjoy, as well, with Air Jumpz providing a bounce house, face painting and balloon characters in the park.

Live entertainment begins at 9 a.m. with the Kyle and Dave Morning Show hosts, followed by performances from Caleb Luckie at 11 a.m., Max Conway and the Girl Next Door at noon, and Kaoss at 1 p.m.
