William Perry Singleton

William Perry Singleton, of Greenville, passed away Oct. 18, 2016 at the age of 22.
Perry was a 2012 graduate of Fort Dale Academy, where he was a member of the football, tennis and soccer teams. Football was his favorite sport and he played from the third grade as a peewee player through his senior year. In his junior year, he started for the 2010 state championship team, and during his senior year he was awarded most outstanding defensive back, AISA All-Star and the Raymond Pope award. He attended the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and was currently enrolled at the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Ala., majoring in management.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Virginia and William Singleton, Sr., Jack Golson, Sr., and his uncle: Frank Noble.
Perry is survived by his loving parents: Lisa and William Singleton, Sister: Brittany (Phillip) Weaver of Tuscaloosa, AL grandparents: Gail and Phil Phillips of Fairhope, AL. Aunts and uncles: Jack (Kim) Golson of Montgomery, AL, Carla (Lee) St. Peter of Destin, FL, Dan (Angie) Singleton of Lapine, AL, Ginger Noble of Lapine, AL, and Allen (DeeDee) Phillips, and many cousins and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home in Greenville.
Serving as pallbearers are Taz Flowers, Connor Foote, Trey Golson, Jim Lewis, Mitchell Lewis, Cam Norman, Matthew Overton and Phillip Weaver.
Visitation hours will be Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home.
A graveside service, officiated by Matt Langford and Rev. Angie Long, will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Myrtlewood Cemetery in Fort Deposit.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fort Dale Academy, 1100 Gamble Street, c/o Athletics Department, Greenville, AL 36037.
