Tuesday, June 14, the Luverne Fire Department came to Lake Haven Assisted Living to perform a drill on site. Lake Haven is a residence for seniors and the facility houses 16 residency rooms.

The Fire Department team toured the facility and examined fire alarms, fire walls, sprinkler systems and evacuation procedures for assisting residents with walkers and wheelchairs.

“The administration, staff and residents would like to express our appreciation for all of the volunteer firemen who performed this drill,” said owner Sandra Walker.

“The safety and care of the residents is of the utmost importance to us. Drilling with the Luverne Fire Department will allow us to work as a team to meet the challenge of fire safety. Once again we want to applaud the services that this very talented team provides to our community. We are blessed to have their services.”
