The University of Alabama awarded some 5,350 degrees during spring commencement May 6 and May 7.

With this graduating class, UA will have awarded more than 254,000 degrees since its founding in 1831 as the state’s first public university.

Greenville’s Deanna K. Bowen, Lauren A. Lewis, Stuart P. Matthews and Katie D. Wilson were among the students that received degrees.
