A nearly month-long investigation resulted in the arrest of six suspects in connection with a burglary at Beeland Park.
According to officials with the Greenville Police Department, Travius Scarver, 18, and Kenquaundrez Scarver, 18, both of Greenville, along with four juveniles were arrested and charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft of property, fourth degree.
Capt. Justin Lovvorn, commander of the Greenville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, said two buildings at Beeland Park’s baseball complex suffered “considerable damage” during the break-in.
“The concession stand door had been beaten open, as well as another building on the property,” he said.
Lovvorn said approximately $200 worth of property was stolen, some of which has since been recovered.
Lovvorn said all six suspects confessed to the crime and Travius Scarver and Kenquaundrez Scarver were booked into the Butler County Correctional Facility, while the juveniles were arrested and turned over to Juvenile Court.
