James David Dantzler, 56, a resident of Fort Deposit, Ala., died at his home on April 6. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 30 at Bethel United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Gayle Woodard officiating and Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home announcing.

Mr. Dantzler was preceded in death by his parents, Mendel and Alice Faye Dantzler. He is survived by his sister, Mendelyn Renea Stinson (Greg) of Lawrenceville, Ga.; nieces, Kaitlyn Faye Stinson and Alexis Renay Stinson; nephew, Gregory Forrest Stinson; uncles, Alvin Dantzler (Terri) of Georgiana, Vernon Dantzler (Phyllis) of  Greenville, Ala., and Henry Heartsill (Karen) of Honoraville, Ala.; cousin, Cotton Heartsill of Fort Deposit, Ala., and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Grenville Animal Shelter, 1310 East Commerce St. in Greenville.
