Authorities are still searching for a missing Highland Home teenager.

Myra Alissia Freeman went missing around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, from her home in Highland Home (Magnolia Shores).

“She said she was going to take out the garbage from her room because she had cleaned her room up Sunday,” said her mother, Vickie Metcalf.  “I was in there cooking when she came through the kitchen and she never did come back inside. We came out looking for her. We were calling her name and she never answered. We looked down the roads and in the woods. We’ve just been looking for her. We don’t know where she went. We don’t know what happened.”

The Crenshaw County Sheriff’s Office as well as the Luverne Police Department have searched the surrounding areas of Highland Home and have also extended the search to Luverne and other neighboring cities.

“The family is offering a $2,500 reward for anyone who has any kind of information or anyone who has had contact with her,” said Crenshaw County Sheriff Mickey Powell. “We’ve had some tips coming in, and we’re still checking those. We’re asking anyone who has information to contact the Sheriff’s Office. We want to get this girl home safe and sound.”

Freeman is listed as a 4-foot-11, 120-pound, white female with light brown/dark blonde hair and blue eyes. When she was last seen, it was reported that she was wearing a long sleeve crimson colored Alabama shirt, blue jeans and black and white converse shoes.
