The Greenville Police Department responded to the Butler County Department of Human Resources following a threatening phone call Friday.
The call was made to the main office in Montgomery and, according to authorities, was not specific to any certain location. In the call, a client of DHR threatened to kill DHR employees.
Authorities are not releasing the name of the suspect, but did confirm that he is not a Butler County resident.
“He had been to the Butler County DHR on several occasions in the past and they wanted us to keep a check as a precaution,” Capt. Justin Lovvorn said.
The caller never showed up at the Butler County DHR and the GPD is not pursuing the case.
“Nothing ever actually occurred in our jurisdiction,” Lovvorn said.
