A single-vehicle crash Saturday, June 27, claimed the life of a Holly Pond man. The crash occurred at 1:05 p.m. on Norman Road 12 miles north of Luverne, according to a media release from Alabama State Trooper Kevin Cook.

Joseph Tyler Bailey, 28, was killed when the 1999 Buick Park Avenue he was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

Bailey, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Crenshaw County Coroner Ronnie Turner. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
