Luverne Public Library will be full of heroes as its annual summer reading program kicks off.

This summer, the Luverne Public Library, chose the theme “Every Hero has a Story,” for their summer reading theme.

The library’s program begins on June 2 and will run through the end of June.

The Luverne library has something free for all ages to do this summer. All summer reading program days are free and go from 10-11 a.m.

On Tuesdays, ages 3-5 will meet, on Wednesday’s ages 9-12 will meet and on Thursdays ages 6-8 will meet.

There is also a teen book club that invites all 6-12 graders to attend the book club meetings every Monday and Thursday from June 1 until the end of July.

“Kids can expect a lot of new things, new books and new crafts,” said assistant director Regina Grayson. “There will be something new almost every single day in each age group.”

The summer reading programs will consist of a lot of reading, crafts and things to do. With the summer quickly approaching, Grayson and library director Kathryn Tomlin are very excited.

“I’m excited about having the kids come,” said Tomlin, “this summer should be a lot of fun for the kids.”

Aside from the reading groups and the teen book club the library is doing a lot of other fun events throughout the month of June.

Every Friday, during the month of June, the library will host free events for all ages.
