A Greenville man has been arrested following a string of burglaries at local hotels.
Latrell Albritton, 33, has been charged with burglary, third degree, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Police say that Albritton allegedly broke into rooms at the Quality Inn and the Days Inn on April 28 and stole 15 televisions from unoccupied rooms.
“Lt. (Joey) Disney responded to both of the crime scenes and collected evidence as well as reviewed video surveillance,” said Capt. Justin Lovvorn. “By the next day Lt. Disney was able to develop a suspect in this case and was able to sign a warrant for Latrell Albritton. Officers then searched for the suspect and Sgt. Lionel Davidson was able to locate him on April 29 around 8:30 p.m. and place him under arrest for the burglary charge. Lt. Disney then confronted the suspect with the evidence we had against him and he admitted to his part in the burglary.”
Lovvorn said police are still searching for two more suspects.
“We were also able to develop additional suspects who were involved in the burglary and are attempting to confirm their identity,” he said. “We do expect to make additional arrests in this case in the near future. I would like to commend the investigators and patrolmen for their hard work and dedication to their job and the citizens of Greenville while working on this case and several recent cases.”
