DHR and commissioners recognize child abuse prevention with contest

The Crenshaw County Department of Human Resources held a coloring contest as a community awareness event to promote National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month, which is April.
The staff distributed coloring sheets to all students in all the county schools in grades one, two and three.
When all the coloring sheets were collected, they were given to county administrator David Smyth and he had some of the courthouse staff act as judges for the coloring contest.
The theme this year is superheroes united against child abuse. So, the coloring sheets were of superheroes.
There is a display at the courthouse with the winning coloring sheets and other information about child abuse and foster parenting.
