Troy man killed in Hwy. 29 wreck

A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Hwy. 29 at the 119 mile marker claimed the life of a Troy man.
The incident happened at 11:40 p.m., Saturday, April 11. Byron Maurice Hill, 37, was killed when the 1999 Mazda he was driving ran off the road. Hill was attempting to bring his vehicle back onto the road when he over-corrected, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2001 Oldsmobile driven by 21-year-old Jeremy Jermaine Boyd of Brundidge.
Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. Boyd and three passengers in his vehicle were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
