W.O. Parmer Elementary School students packed the gymnasium to start the Jump Rope for Heart campaign on Thursday.
The campaign kicks off the school’s annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
Last year, the school raised $1,100. This year, the goal is to raise $1,500.
During the event, students from Greenville Middle School and W.O. Parmer entertained the young ones with jump rope routines.
GMS’s Aniyah McClaney, Cameron Crenshaw, Julie Layfield, JaBrina Bradley and Andrea Deardem entertained the crowd with tough jump rope routines.
To cap the event off, the W.O. Parmer Divas performed for the audience, which drew popular applause from their classmates and loved ones watching.
The money raised goes to help patients and others with heart-related problems.
