Property tax payments are past due tomorrow.
Butler County revenue commissioner Deborah Crews encourages residents to pay their property taxes.
“We urge everyone to pay their property taxes by noon (today) in our office or have it postmarked by (Dec. 31), or pay online by midnight (today),” Crews said.
By paying today, residents will avoid a late fee, Crews said.
Crews said payments can be received by cash, check, money order, or credit and debit card.
Collections each year vary, she said.
“This year, the assessed value, or tax amount, is close to $7 million,” Crews said.
The due date every year for property taxes is Oct. 1.
