Wimberly St. shooter turns self in

The Montgomery shooter charged with murdering a Greenville man last Saturday night on Wimberly Street turned himself into the Greenville Police Department just after lunch on Wednesday.
Michael James Delbridge, 27, is accused of the shooting death of 29-year-old Kerry Smith of Greenville.
Since the shooting on Saturday, investigators with the GPD worked hard to get enough evidence to procure a warrant for murder, which they did on Monday.
Law enforcement agencies from Greenville, Montgomery and the United States Marshal’s Figitive Task Force went on an active search for Delbridge after he didn’t turn himself in to authorities earlier this week.
Other than Smith, another victim — Michael Loveless, age 30 — was also injured in the shooting, and was released from the hospital later in the week.
