The Montgomery shooter charged with murdering a Greenville man Saturday night on Wimberly Street turned himself into the Greenville Police Department just after lunch today.
Michael James Delbridge, 27, is accused of the shooting death of 29-year-old Kerry Smith of Greenville.
For the past couple of days, investigators with the GPD worked to get enough evidence to procure a warrant for murder, which they did on Monday.
Law enforcement agencies from Greenville, Montgomery and the United States Marshal’s Figitive Task Force went on an active search for Delbridge after he didn’t turn himself in to authorities earlier this week.
Other than Smith, another victim — Michael Loveless, age 30, also of Greenville — was also injured in the shooting. Loveless is in stable condition and will be released from the hospital this week.
