BCSO investigating shooting

The Butler County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that has left one person dead and one person in critical condition following a shooting that occurred Saturday night in the Brushy Creek community.
Sheriff Kenny Harden said that authorities received a call at approximately 9 p.m. Saturday night.
“One person was pronounced dead on the scene and a second person was transported to the Georgiana Hospital, and then to Baptist Hospital (in Montgomery),” Harden said.
The incident is still under investigation. The Advocate will update as more details become available.
