Starting Monday, Nov. 17, Crenshaw County Road 59 will be closed as county workers replace four existing bridges with one that will span 320 feet and include three culverts.
“This project will be approximately ¼ mile long and we plan to only close that ¼ mile section of road,” said Michelle Royals, assistant county engineer.
The project will last 10 to 12 months. During that time, motorists are asked to use Campground Road to U.S. Highway 29 into Pike County then take Beaver Pond Road.
