It’s an event that brings smiles to people of all ages.
A variety of characters will be coming to town as Walker International Events brings the circus to Greenville.
Organizers for the circus say that the event will be fun-filled with acrobats, aerialists, comedy, and a non-stop magical night of astounding feats of agility, plus beautiful animals for all to enjoy.
The circus is sponsored by the Greenville Lions Club, and funds raised from ticket sales will benefit club projects that support local charities for sight preservation.
This is the club’s second year to host the circus.
This year’s event will be held in the adjacent lot next to Walmart.
Chairman and Lions Club member Jeff Adams said he is excited about the new location.
“We are excited to be able to have such a nice venue to host this year’s circus,” said Adams. “The area will allow for a larger crowd and plenty of parking.
It’s a convenient place to host the circus.”
Lions Club president James Packer said that the circus offers great family fun, and it helps the Lions Club with funds to provide services to the community.
“The location is great this year as we can advertise to a large crowd and attract more business,” said Packer.
The circus will be held Oct. 4 with showtimes at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., and Oct. 5 at 3 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 by calling 392-7008, or by stopping by The Pineapple, Wood Forest Bank and Match & Mix.
The deadline to purchase discounted tickets is Oct. 3. After that date tickets will be $15. Admission is free for children 14 years and under with the purchase of an adult ticket.
