Two men have been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting into an occupied vehicle during an altercation outside the Professional Men’s Club on May 26.
Akeem Thompson, 24, and Kendrick Robinson, 29, both of Greenville have been arrested and charged with two counts each of shooting into an occupied vehicle and one count each of attempted murder.
“The incident started outside the Professional Men’s Club when they closed down around 1 a.m.,” said Lt. Justin Lovvorn. “It appears that the incident is drug related. There was an argument about money that was owed and when one of the individuals attempted to drive away shots were fired at the vehicle.”
Lovvorn said that the window of the vehicle was shot out and that it appeared one of the tires had been shot.
A second vehicle that had also been fired into was later located by police.
