The Greenville Police Department is searching for a suspect or suspects responsible for breaking into four vehicles parked outside a local business on Tuesday morning.
According to authorities, someone smashed the windows out of two vehicles and entered two more vehicles parked behind Gardner Eye Care between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
“The offender or offenders only took items that could be easily obtained from within the main cabin of the vehicles,” said Lt. Justin Lovvorn.
Some items taken from the vehicles were a portable GPS, sunglasses and a handgun.
“We were able to collect evidence at the scene, including fingerprints and DNA, that will be processed at the lab and used to help identify a suspect,” Lovvorn said.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Greenville Police Department at (334) 382-7461.
