Brantley’s Wesley Person scored 31 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 79-46 win over McKenzie in area tournament action.

The Bulldogs scored 35 points to McKenzie’s 13 in the first period, and was up 42-19 at the half.

Brantley added 28 points in the third to McKenzie’s 17, to increase the Bulldogs’ lead to 68-36.

Darrin Jones scored 12 points for the Bulldogs and Condi Pugh had 17 points for McKenzie.

In girls action, Brantley defeated McKenzie 65 to 33.

Brantley led 24-4 at the end of the first; 42-13 at the half; 61 to 20 at the end of three.

Payton Burnett led the Bulldogs with 16 points and Raven Davis added 15.

McKenzie’s Womack had 16.

Both Brantley teams will play Monday in the area championship game.
