Candlelight vigil planned in honor of four Troy University students killed

Troy University students, faculty and staff will gather Wednesday to remember four students who died over the Christmas break.

According to a statement from the university, a candlelight vigil will be held at 4:30 p.m. on the Quad to honor the memory of:

• Kristin Fuller, a freshman social work major from Luverne, who died from gunshot wounds on Jan. 1 on Campground Church Road near the Crenshaw and Pike County line;

• Haijiao Sun, a graduate from China, who died  on Dec. 21, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Gainesville, Fla.;

• Kimberle Johnson, a junior social work major from Montgomery, who died from gunshot wounds on Dec. 28 in a Montgomery nightclub; and

• Jadarius Garner, a sophomore from Clarksdale, Miss., and a member of the Troy Trojans football team, who died after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 61 in Bolivar County, Miss.

The vigil will be held at 4:30 p.m.
