The Bible, in Proverbs, commands Christians to give to those in need and they will be blessed – “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”
Students at Crenshaw Christian Academy gathered together to spread a little Christmas cheer to those who are less fortunate this Christmas season.
On Thursday, CCA’s kindergarten, third grade, sixth grade and high school students participated in the Department of Human Resources’ Operation Santa Claus.
Each class chose a child in which to purchase Christmas gifts.
“We were all overjoyed when we saw the amount of gifts bought for these children,” said Administrator Angela Carpenter. “We joined together, in the library, and prayed over all the gifts and for happiness for the children that would receive them on Christmas.”
