If the little ones in your house are aching to know when Santa will be there on Christmas eve, look no further than NORAD’s 2013 Santa Tracker, the site that tracks Santa’s latest location.

A Christmas tradition since 1955, tracking the jolly ole elf riding in a sleigh is something many families look forward to each year.

This year, the site has a make over that counts down the days until Saint Nick begins delivering presents and lets families visit the digital North Pole.

Then when Santa and reindeer begin their trek across the globe, the site will monitor their whereabouts and keep up with how many gifts have been delivered.

Santa’s route traditionally begins at the International Date Line in the Pacific Ocean and travels west.

So, historically, he visits the South Pacific, then New Zealand and Australia.

He then treks to Japan, Asia, Africa, Western Europe, Canada, the United States, Mexico and Central and South America.

“But keep in mind, Santa’s route can be affected by the weather, so it’s really unpredictable,” officials said. “NORAD coordinates with Santa’s Elf launch staff to confirm his launch time, but from that point on, Santa calls the shots. We just track him.”
