Some 43 hunters turned out earlier this month for the Outdoors Without Limits (OWL) hunt, which was sponsored by the Southeast AL Ultimate Adventure Deer Hunt Friday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 14 , at the Tom Harbin Ag Center.
This hunt was a chance for disabled hunters to be able to hunt with a guide and also have the opportunities to touch the lives of all who participated including volunteers.
OWL hosted a banquet on Friday night, which was a success, organizers said.
The hunt started Friday afternoon and continued through Saturday with a total of eight deer bagged.
On Saturday, 14-year-old Emily Hickman killed a doe and the excitement on her face was indescribable, officials said.
The hunt concluded Saturday evening with new friendships created.
“We would like to say a big thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who helped out,” organizers said. “ It was truly a blessing for all.”
