The 54th annual Rattlesnake Rodeo may still be nearly half a year away, but Opp Mayor John Bartholomew has already secured country music star Easton Corbin as the weekend’s headliner.
- Bartholomew said he is very pleased Corbin will be performing at the event, and expects his music to bring large crowds into Opp’s Channell-Lee Stadium.
“He’s got top hits right now and most of his records go to No.1,” Bartholomew said of Corbin. “He should be going to the CMA awards later on. He’s going to be a major draw.”
Bartholomew said Corbin will take the stage Sat., April 12, adding he has also secured Christian music’s “Building 429” as the headliners for Sun., April 13.
“They’re just as big on the Christian music scene as Easton is in country music,” he said. “I think they are going to be really good acts.”
The 2014 Rattlesnake Rodeo will also feature the main headliners of every year – the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake, as well as plenty of food and vendors.
Bartholomew said other musical acts will appear following the headliners’ performances, adding those names will soon be released.
