SWEET BRIAR, VA. — Hollie Halford, daughter of Tanya Speir and Jerry Halford of Greenville, was named to the dean’s list at Sweet Briar College for the 2013 spring semester.

Halford is a rising junior majoring in studio art.

At the end of each fall and spring term, the college recognizes students who have shown outstanding ability and achievement during the semester. To make the list, students must earn a 3.5 GPA with a minimum of 12 graded academic hours.

Sweet Briar College is a nationally recognized all-women’s liberal arts college near Lynchburg, Va.
