Marvin Earl Allen, 83, died Saturday, June 29, 2013, at his residence. Chapel service will be held Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Randy Till officiating and Dunklin and Daniels directing. Visitation will be Monday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dunklin and Daniels Funeral Home. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife Melba Till Allen (former auditor and treasurer of the State of Alabama); grandson, David Allen; and brother, Bernard Allen. He is survived by a daughter, Judy Allen Grimes (Robert) of Anniston, Ala.; a son, Randy Earl Allen (Darlene) of Clanton, Ala.; six grandchildren: Suzanne Kelley, Melanie Smith, Kristi Grimes, Mandie Baker, Angel Woodruff, and John McDuffie; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Bernice Frost of Talladega, Ala..
