Fried chicken, lasagna, chocolate almond ice cream, sub sandwiches and all sorts of sweet treats were on display at tonight’s first-ever Taste of Crenshaw County.
The event, which was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and held at the First United Methodist Church’s Dei Center, showcased the wares of local favorites and some newcomers, including Chicken Shack, New China Buffet, Piggly Wiggly, Max Pizza, Sister Schubert’s, Mickey’s Munchies, Mainstreet Sweets, Kinfolk’s, Subway, Hardee’s and Amazing Grace Café. Pepsi of Luverne provided the drinks.
Locals in attendance had the opportunity to taste samples of the different menu items from the local businesses.
A crowd of folks attended the event, which also featured door prizes courtesy of local businesses.
Chamber President Heather Phillips encouraged the crowd of Chamber members gathered to patronize local restaurants.
