A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 65 Thursday claimed the life of one person and injured three more.

The accident occurred at 4 p.m. near mile marker 114 in Butler County.

According to Alabama State Troopers, a U-Haul truck struck the bridge, left the road and turned over.

Three people were transferred to hospitals for treatment. Two were sent to a Mobile hospital and the third was sent to a Birmingham hospital.

Authorities declined to release any more information as the accident is still under investigation.
