Dear Editor,
On April 2 we lost our house and most of our belongings in a fire.
Although this was a huge and devastating loss, it’s nice to know that there are still people who take such pleasure in doing special things.
God has truly blessed us with so many family members and friends to help during our time of loss. There are not enough words to describe how thankful we are for the outpouring of love shown from each of you.
Thanks so much to our friends at the McKenzie VFD for your service. You all were well trained in handling the fire, as well as in assisting us. Our church family will never know how much you mean to us. We have felt your prayers during this time and we love and appreciate you. Thanks also to our family and friends who have helped us out in so many ways. You mean so much to us.
We would like to thank the Butler County EMS; the volunteer fire departments of Beat 8, Georgiana, McKenzie, Garland, and Buck Creek; the sheriffs, deputies, and commissioners of Conecuh and Butler counties; Southern Pine; Georgiana Medical Center; Circle W Trailers; Creamer Construction; Sam Skipper Construction; ALFA; and, of course, the many individuals who have given of their resources and time. Your help has been helpful, heartwarming, and strengthening. Thanks to all of you.
Sincerely,
David and Kathy Campbell
