The victim in Monday’s murder on Sweetwater Road in Sardis, near Highland Home, has been identified as 88-year-old Pleo Thomas Sexton.

Sexton’s body was discovered at his home Monday afternoon and a 911 call was placed.

The case is being investigated as a homicide, though officials have not yet released any details concerning the investigation.
