A few appointments and acknowledgements comprised the agenda of the Butler County Commission at its April 11 meeting, though not much action was required from the commission.
The Butler County Farmer’s Market will be adding bathroom facilities soon, according to Richard Branum.
Joy Casey was reappointed to the South Central Mental Health board for a 6-year term, and Jean Thompson was appointed to the library board for a 4-year term.
During Friday’s workshop meeting, the commission discussed an upcoming August 15 deadline to submit three possible names for the Equalization Board. So far, only one qualified resident, Cleave Poole, has agreed to let his name be submitted. The board decided to not submit names at this time, in hopes of finding two more qualified, and willing appointees.
