Henry Morris Wasden

Henry Morris Wasden, age 78, a resident of Greenville, died on Sunday, April 10, 2011.  Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Antioch West Baptist Church Cemetery at 11 a.m. with Rev. Watson Wasden officiating and Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m.

Mr. Wasden was preceded in death by his parents, Elijah & Etheline Wasden, brothers, David Wasden, Dan Wasden, Ralph Wasden, Zell Wasden, Hillary Wasden, and sister, Frankie Wasden.  He is survived by his sons, Morris (Jane) Wasden of Guntersville,, Terry (Jenny) Wasden of Birmingham, Tony Wasden of Mary Ester, Fla., Keith Wasden of Waco, Texas, daughters, Kay Fisher of West Brockton, Kim Wood of Guntersville, Lisa Kauder & Alan Yapit of Greenville,  Kandy (Jay) Lawley of West Brockton, brothers, Elmer (Sheila) Wasden of Huntsville, Jerry Wasden of Greenville, sister, Thelma Springer of Greenville, 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Wasden proudly served his country in the United States Army completing two tours in Vietnam and a tour in Korea.  He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service.
