Mr. and Mrs. Mike Middleton of Georgiana, AL and Mr. Todd Newton of Greenville, AL are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kaitlin Lynn Newton, to James (JR) William Smith, Jr. of Brundidge, AL, son of Ms. Crystal Johnson of Brundidge, AL and Mr. James Smith, Sr. of Samson, AL.

Kaitlin is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green of Georgiana, AL and Mrs. Alice Newton and the late Mr. Percy Newton of Greenville, AL. She is a 2008 graduate of Georgiana High School in Georgiana, AL and is employed as an office manager with Piggly Wiggly in Troy, AL.

JR is the grandson of Mrs. Fanny Pugh and the late Mr. Robert Pugh of Spring Hill, AL and Mrs. Annie Pearl Smith and the late Mr. James Smith of Elba, AL. He is a 1999 graduate of Pike County High School in Brundidge, AL and is employed as a store manager with Piggly Wiggly in Troy, AL.

Kaitlin and JR will exchange vows April 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Haw Hill Assembly of God in Brundidge, AL.
